To differentiate the UPI event from others taking place the same evening, we secured the services of a cigar expert and planned a cigar party, buffet and cocktail party at a premier San Antonio destination, a lively Tex-Mex restaurant on the Riverwalk. We developed a western theme for our save-the-date, invitation, gift-bag card, and a a series of four posters that used famous westerners, including Wyatt Earp and Annie Oakley, as unlikely endorsers of UPI’s products. The event attracted more than 150 attendees.
